::: Our subject: Risk at play

At the Collaborative Research Center 649 mathematichens, statisticians and economists are engaged with the subject of "Economic Risk". Get to know - using football as an example - economic interrelationships in respect to modern finance markets. Where do odds come from and what does it have to do with the price of an option? Why is this not a risky for banks as one my think? Become informed about current research projects or try yourself to put one past the keeper. The theme for the Lange Nacht der Wissenschaften has also been made available in convenient pfd format. The Post can also be downloaded here as a pdf file.
