At Wednesday the 6th December 2006, the first nobel lecture of the SFB 649 in cooperation with the CASE took place. The public lecture with the title "Nobelpreisvorlesung 2006: Visionen in der Wirtschaft - Die Humboldt-Universität erklärt die Ideen der Nobelpreisträger Phelps und Yunus" was a great success. About 150 persons joined the lecture in the Heilig-Geist-Kapelle at the School of Business and Economics, a department of the Humboldt University Berlin. At the beginning Prof. Uhlig, coordinator of the SFB 649, received the audience and gave a short introduction. Afterwards Prof. Michael Burda appreciated Edmund Phelps, the winner of the nobel price in economic siences 2006. Followed by a presentation of Prof. Axel Werwatz regarding Muhammad Yunus and the Grameen Bank, this year's winners of the Nobel Peace Price. At least the speakers and the audience conducted a lively discussion. At the end of the lecture there was a reception in the foyer of the School of Business and Economics.
