Description |
Internal use
The RDC forms the foundation of the empirical and computer-aided (numeric) theoretical research of this Collaborative Research Canter. It makes available access to different important resources (data pools and network services) to all participating researchers. The RDC will be the CRC´s internal place of exchange for data series, software and numerical algorithms. It is necessary for the functioning of the CRC and will support all project areas.
External use
It will be open to other DFG ( German Research Foundation) financed research projects. The RDC will make available data, algorithms and methods of other researchers. In addition it will make the CRC´s discussion papers available and generate corresponding statistics pertaining to their demand.
The goal
The goal is the creation of a communications network that concentrates on empirical risk, research and economic research of data and algorithms between physically separated research groups. The RDC fulfils therewith a pioneering role in the implantation of recommendations by the scientific council that will strengthen empirical economic research in Germany .
