We live in a world full of uncertainty. Uncertainty about the future influence present decisions. Financial market fluctuations
threaten household wealth, real estate, or the value of bonds and shares.
Unforeseen technical innovations destroy the market position of well-established firms.
Cyclical fluctuations endanger employment. Economic policy is constantly challenged by growth risks.
The pivotal meaning of economic risk has not until now be given sufficient consideration.
RDC is the base for empirical and computer-based (numerical)
theoretical research at CRC 649. It supplies information on research results,
events and provides access to data and network services to all
participating researchers. The goal is to establish a communication network
concentrated on the empirical research of risk and economics in order to enable
researchers to exchange data whilst being located at different places.
